Kokusaba at the International Education Expo 2025

This May, our team at Kokusaba had the incredible opportunity to participate in the International Education Expo 2025, held in both Tokyo and Osaka. As a company dedicated to guiding students toward academic success and global opportunities, we were proud to take part in one of the most influential education fairs in Japan.

A Hub for Global Education Exchange

The International Education Expo 2025 featured a rich array of activities designed to inform and engage families, educators, and students. A wide variety of educational institutions—including international schools, bilingual programs, public and private schools, and major preparatory academies—were present to share insights into their curricula and achievements. The event also included engaging talk sessions with school representatives, bilingual and returnee education experts, exam specialists, entrepreneurs, and educational influencers, providing attendees with up-to-date knowledge on global education trends. Additionally, participating schools hosted short seminars to showcase how they were preparing students for a globalized future through internationalization and diverse learning approaches. Hands-on workshops rounded out the experience, offering interactive activities that focused on building critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and non-cognitive abilities through innovative themes.

What We Shared

We had the pleasure of meeting school leaders who were eager to learn more about international education pathways. We shared how our tutoring programs—ranging from IB and school support to language enrichment and test preparation—are designed to bridge the gap between local and global learning standards.

Many were especially interested in our personalized approach to university preparation, our insights into curriculum alignment, and our strategies for helping students thrive in bilingual and multicultural environments.

Why These Partnerships Matter

By collaborating with respected schools and institutes in Tokyo and Osaka, we can:

  1. Personalize Learning Paths – Co-design curricula that align with each institution’s philosophy and students’ aspirations.

  2. Expand Access – Bring our evidence-based tutoring programs to more learners, from small bilingual schools to major prep academies.

  3. Innovate Together – Leverage collective expertise to integrate the latest ed-tech tools and pedagogical practices.

What We Learned

Attending the expo was also a learning experience for us. We listened to passionate school representatives explain their educational philosophies and innovative teaching models. We attended thought-provoking talks and panel discussions that reinforced the importance of critical thinking, adaptability, and global citizenship in today’s education.

The atmosphere in both Tokyo and Osaka was vibrant and full of purpose. It was clear that families across Japan are actively seeking internationally-minded education options, and looking for guidance on how to navigate them effectively.

Looking Ahead

We left the International Education Expo 2025 feeling inspired and motivated. It reaffirmed our commitment to supporting students who are preparing for futures that span continents and cultures. We are grateful to the organizers of the expo for creating such a powerful space for dialogue and discovery, and we look forward to returning next year.

To all the families, educators, and fellow service providers we met—thank you. Your curiosity, insight, and ambition continue to drive us forward.
